This was the debut of Emmanuel's first regularly scheduled series on WBAI. The Thursday late night series "The Fifth Corner" was scheduled every two weeks from 11:45 pm to 1:00 am. The show almost always dealt with technology in some way but there were some programs that were entirely political or focused on current events. In this edition: the beginning of a new decade, Emmanuel's trip to Florida, Roger <gulp>, COCOTs, Panama, New Year's greetings from Radio Moscow. Bob Fass follows.
