Shortly after 5:00pm ET today, WBAI 99.5 FM in New York abruptly went off the air after losing power to the studios at 120 Wall Street. The radio station was still broadcasting for much of the day following the extraordinary events in New York and Washington, DC. Those who are in the studio are reportedly unharmed although the smoke and dust in the area remains thick. WBAI's transmitter, located at the top of the Empire State Building, was unaffected by the events earlier in the day.
