The Penghu Islands Situated in the middle of the Taiwan Strait, the Penghu Islands control navigation of both East Asia and the Pacific Ocean. As the only island county in Taiwan, the Penghu Islands have a tranquillty, rustic simplicity and natural beauty that have long been appreciated by tourists and have won Penghu the name "Hawaii of Taiwan," a dreamland for people from bustling cities. In order to systematically introduce the beautiful scenery and historic sites of Penghu, the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, has established the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration. The whole area of the Penghu Islands is divided into one hundred and seventy nine systems: Penghu, Peihai and Nanhai... Tirinanana?
