At literally the very last minute, the regularly scheduled edition of "Off The Hook" was thrown into disarray by massive civil unrest in Seattle during the meeting of the World Trade Organization. Reporter Amy Goodman phones in live from the streets of Seattle and describes the rapidly deteriorating situation as tear gas and rubber bullets are fired by the police. While this is not a show related to the usual subject matter, much of the material is riveting, as Amy is seriously affected by the gas and constantly approached by the police. All of this takes place as a curfew is imposed on the entire city.
