Two of the brand new top level domains are slowly starting to work. This week the .biz and .info TLDs were added to the root zones and a very limited number of addresses began to work.

There is still no surefire way to register domains under either of these TLDs but there are plenty of opportunistic "pre-registration" schemes floating around which encourage people to enter a lottery multiple times to increase the odds of getting the site they want - all for a fee, of course.

It is expected that true registration for both .biz and .info will begin sometime this summer.
