SURVEY: WHO SHOULD GIVE THE KEYNOTE AT H2K2?
Posted 9 Jun 2001 05:24:54 UTC

We've already gotten a good number of suggestions on what kinds of panels and speakers we should get for H2K2, the fourth HOPE conference, scheduled for July 12-14, 2002 in New York City. Right now we're looking for input specifically on keynote speakers. There was a great response to last year's keynote address by Jello Biafra, Brock Meeks in 1997, and Robert Steele in 1994. We'd like to continue in the tradition of having strong, dynamic speakers who capture the imagination. So we're asking those of you interested in attending the next conference who you would like to see in that position. It really can be anybody in the world but we'd like to know why you think they would be a good choice and how they pertain to the hacker culture. This is not a popularity contest so please don't get all of your friends to select Trent Reznor or something. Our decision will be based on a number of factors and your input is one of them. To participate, send email to keynote@2600.com. Include the name of your selection, their accomplishments, why you think they'd be a good choice, and contact information for your selection if you have any. Keep checking here and on www.hope.net for more info on H2K2.
