After many months, we've completed the reencoding for all of the "Off The Hook" and "Brain Damage" shows for improved sound quality. We're also happy to announce that we've uncovered a few shows that had been lost, thanks to some listeners as well as our own archiving efforts. Here are some highlights:
8/20/88. We now have the last half hour of this show, all of which had previously been unavailable.
8/21/94. We now have the entire show online. Previously the first 90 minutes were missing.
Additional WUSB Material
1/16/91. A special WUSB program, recorded as the Gulf War broke out, is now online.
Off The Hook
1/30/91. A completely forgotten edition of "Off The Hook" that dealt with issues of the war which had recently broken out.
2/27/91. A previously lost edition of "Off The Hook" that focused on shortwave radio.
8/18/93. An edition of "Off The Hook" that we didn't even know about until a faithful listener came forward with it.
Additional WBAI Material
3/13/89. The second WBAI program to air, actually a version of a WUSB program called "News of the World."
3/19/90. A long forgotten last minute fill-in where the horrendous condition of the environment was discussed and debated with listeners.
We've also fixed up the "Off The Hook" descriptions so that they're more consistent and readable. Please enjoy them as we've been working our asses off to finish this.
In the very near future we'll have some more exciting news to share concerning our massive audio library. Stay tuned.
