"Freedom Downtime," the 2600 documentary about the Free Kevin movement and the
fight to stop the making of "Takedown," (a major motion picture based on Kevin
Mitnick's life) has finally been finished. What this means is that we are now
submitting it to various film festivals around the planet.
We won't be able to release it to the public until we've gotten the necessary
music rights, something which is taking a very long time and will probably be
quite expensive. As soon as we're able to do this, we will make it available
on video. And yes, we do plan on eventually releasing a region-free DVD.
If you know of a film festival that we should submit "Freedom Downtime" to,
send us email at downtime@2600.com. As we learn more about where we'll be
showing the film, we will post it here.
