2600 EDITOR EMMANUEL GOLDSTEIN AMONG 900+ ARRESTED AT ANTI-RNC PROTESTS We've received word that Emmanuel Goldstein, the founder and editor of 2600, was among the hundreds of people arrested at the demonstrations against the Republican National Convention in New York City.

UPDATE: EMMANUEL GOLDSTEIN FINALLY RELEASED FROM CUSTODY After over 30 hours in custody, 2600 editor Emmanuel Goldstein was finally released from custody early Thursday morning. He was never taken before a judge and was instead given a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) charging him with disorderly conduct. More details will be posted later. |

NEW YORK 2600 MEETING BACK TO (ALMOST) NORMAL We're pleased to say that the New York City 2600 meetings appear to be back to some semblance of normalcy. This doesn't mean that they're not still a victim of the craziness sweeping the land but at least we're not literally out in the street.

NOTES FROM THE RNC - THE 8/31 EXPERIENCE 2600 Editor Emmanuel Goldstein was arrested along with 1200 others in the streets of New York on August 31. Like many, he
wasn't a part of the demonstrations that were taking place but was filming and recording what was happening from a city
sidewalk. This is his story of what happened that day along with audio, video, and pictures.
