08.06.01 SKLYAROV RELEASED ON BAIL AFTER THREE WEEKS
In the Federal District Court in San Jose Monday afternoon, a bail motion was granted for Russian programmer Dmitry Sklyarov.

08.07.01 "FREEDOM DOWNTIME" TO BE SHOWN AT HAL
"Freedom Downtime," the 2600 documentary about the hacker world and the Free Kevin movement, will be shown this Friday at 10 pm at the Hackers At Large conference in the Netherlands. A full schedule of the conference is now available at the HAL 2001 site.

08.07.01 MORE FIRINGS, BANNINGS, AND RESIGNATIONS AT WBAI
In what seems to be a renewed round of activity at Pacifica's beleaguered WBAI (home of "Off The Hook"), a number of staff people have found themselves barred from the station in recent days with the loss of still more programming, as the crisis at WBAI stretches into its eighth month. Still another well known programmer resigned on the air Monday morning.

08.28.01 OFF-AIR TAPE SHOWS NATURE OF CONFLICT AT WBAI
In the wake of firings and program disruptions at WBAI, a rather remarkable bit of audio has surfaced that paints a vivid picture of some of the behind the scenes turmoil that went on in the early months of the crisis.

08.30.01 "FREEDOM DOWNTIME" SELECTED FOR WOODSTOCK FILM FESTIVAL
"Freedom Downtime," the 2600 documentary on the Free Kevin movement and the hacker culture, has been selected for screening at the Woodstock Film Festival, to be held September 20-23 in Woodstock, New York. The film will be shown on Saturday, September 22nd at 5 pm.

08.31.01 SKLYAROV AND EMPLOYER ARRAIGNED, PROTESTS OCCUR NATIONWIDE
In the Federal Court at San Jose Thursday morning, Russian programmer Dmitry Sklyarov and his employer, Elcomsoft, were each arraigned on five counts of copyright violation.
