Among the people currently being held on up to a million dollars bail for
protesting at the Republican National Convention is our own layout artist
ShapeShifter, who many heard speak at the H2K conference.
||BAIL REDUCTION HEARING FOR SHAPESHIFTER|
After nearly a week of being held on half a million dollars bail, 2600
staffmember ShapeShifter has had a bail reduction hearing scheduled for
Tuesday, August 8th at 12:30 pm. It will take place in Room 1006 of the
Criminal Justice Center on 13th and Filbert in Philadelphia. The court
is reachable by subway at the 15th Street station on the Market-Frankford
line (one stop from the Amtrak station) and the West Philadelphia trolley
line. It's also next to the City Hall station on the Broad Street line.

2600 staffperson and community activist ShapeShifter, one of hundreds
taken into custody during last week's Republican National Convention
in Philadelphia, has finally been released.

||2ND SHOWING OF 2600 DOCUMENTARY SATURDAY|
The 2600 documentary "Freedom Downtime" will get a second screening this coming weekend at the second annual Toorcon in San Diego. The film will be shown Saturday evening at 9:00 in the Copper Room of the San Diego Concourse.
||MPAA STARTS A NEW ROUND OF THREATENING LETTERS|
As expected, the Motion Picture Association of America has begun to
threaten people all over the world in the wake of their victory in
the 2600 lawsuit.
