VERIZON OUTAGE FINALLY OVER AFTER FOUR DAYS
2600 has become the victim of what is either an example of epic incompetence or sheer malice on the part of Verizon. Whichever it is, we have suffered devastating losses as a result of their inability to restore connectivity to us since severing our Internet connection on Monday. As our website is run at a different facility, we're able to get this information out to the world in this manner. However, all of our email as well as access to vital files necessary for the completion of our Spring issue has been cut off since Monday. In addition, orders on our store and ticket sales to The Next HOPE have been seriously disrupted. |

FINAL CALL FOR SPEAKERS FOR THE NEXT HOPE CONFERENCE
This is it. If you have been intending to submit a talk proposal to us
for The Next HOPE, it's now or never. We already have a nearly full
schedule but there is room for a few more good talks. The absolute
deadline is the end of this coming weekend. After Monday, the doors are
closed. Send your submission to speakers@hope.net ASAP if you want to
be considered as a speaker. If you've already sent in a proposal, there
is no need to send it again. If it's accepted, you will hear back from
us shortly.
The Next HOPE will be taking place July 16, 17, and 18, 2010 at the

Do you have something to sell, exhibit, or otherwise share with attendees at The Next HOPE? We’re making available a number of tables for folks who want to be able to display or sell their wares. These tables will be located in a highly-trafficked area of the second floor. We hope that a variety of groups will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to reach our attendees, and that our attendees will be able to see some neat products they might not otherwise get to know about.

The entire schedule for The Next HOPE has been finalized and is now viewable online in either grid or summary mode. We have three scheduled tracks and one unscheduled one which will result in well over 100 hour long presentations. We had more submissions this year than ever before and also more preregistrants so this looks like the biggest HOPE in history. AUDIO AND VIDEO FROM SELECTED HOPE TALKS NOW AVAILABLE
We're pleased to announce that audio & video from certain sessions from The Next HOPE are already being made available. The rest will follow shortly. For now we have four of the most popular talks available online as well as on dvd. The four talks include the Wikileaks keynote as well as the infamous informants panel featuring Adrian Lamo being grilled by members of the hacker community. In the next couple of weeks there will be over 100 hours of content from The Next HOPE posted.
