DMCA PROTEST AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY
Public hearings on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act will be held at Stanford University on May 18th. Together with the EFF and the Silicon Valley Linux User Group, we urge people to take part in a peaceful demonstration which will begin at noon this Thursday in front of the Stanford Law School. VICTORY OVER DISQUALIFICATION MOTION
Much to our relief, Judge Kaplan has issued an order denying Time Warner's motion to stop the law firm Frankfurt, Garbus, Klein & Selz from representing 2600. The plaintiffs seem to have hoped to use this issue to stall the discovery process and prolong the preliminary injunction. |
