MPAA CHIEF TO ADDRESS STUDENTS We've gotten a bunch of emails from people telling us that MPAA chief Jack Valenti will be giving the commencement address at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. We expect that there will be people handing out flyers to alert the public to the recent actions by the MPAA. If you'd like to help coordinate this, please email us with details. |

DMCA PROTEST AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY Public hearings on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act will be held at Stanford University on May 18th. Together with the EFF and the Silicon Valley Linux User Group, we urge people to take part in a peaceful demonstration which will begin at noon this Thursday in front of the Stanford Law School. If you are in the Bay Area, please go and show your support for 2600 and our battle against the MPAA and for other victims of the DMCA present and future. |
